If we change the graph to show how much each person is using, we begin to see part of the
problem. People are using a lot more water than they used to. This starts to show people
how their individual behavior is causing the problem.
(Ask participants to give examples of why water use has doubled since 1950; examples
include: increased number of appliances that use water, increased lawn size, swimming pools,
twice daily showers, more cars being washed, more people being washed.)
